Responsibilities
Before Shift
- Stocks Carryout supplies and forms.
- Count Cash Drawer to insure it is proper amount.
During Shift
- Opens door & greets Guests entering the restaurant with a friendly “Big Hello”.
- Gauges an accurate waiting period when restaurant becomes full
- Answers incoming phone calls.
- Takes Carry-out orders from call-in and walk-in guests.
- Prepares carryout orders for pickup including condiments..
- Takes payment for carryout orders and enters in POS
- Makes Guests comfortable in waiting area, serving a beverage if necessary.
- When time permits, assists Servers with miscellaneous requests such as picking up plates from tables
- or running condiments to a table.
- Tracks Carryout Ticket times to keep quote time accurate.
- Organizes the carryout station and maintains stocking levels.
- Thanks Guests at they are leaving to ensure and promote return visits.
- When time permits, can assist servers with rolling of silverware.
Closing
- Cashes out and balances cash drawer with a manager.
- Sweeps floor in carryout area.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous Hostess experience a plus.
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service industry preferred.
